Jessica M. Graham, APR, Fellow PRSA
Jessica M. Graham, APR, Fellow PRSA, is president of Fionix Consulting LLC, a firm she started in 2017. Bringing her expertise from the intersection of public relations, internal communications, community affairs, customer care and corporate responsibility, she provides strategic communications services to corporations, small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Graham has 30 years of experience in virtually every aspect of communications in a variety of industries, including retail, telecommunications and education. Prior to Fionix Consulting, she served as vice president, chief communications and community officer for Belk, Inc., where she handled public relations; community outreach; corporate, community, fashion and store events; internal communications; and diversity and inclusion.
Her prior positions include public information officer and assistant to the president for Community Relations & Marketing Services for Central Piedmont Community College; director of public affairs for Time Warner Cable Charlotte; corporate relations manager for Harris Teeter, Inc.; and program director for the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County.
Previously the Southeast District Director on PRSA’s national Board of Directors, Graham has been an active member of PRSA since joining in 1999. She has held close to 20 leadership positions within the organization, including PRSA Charlotte Chapter President, Southeast District Chair and National Governance Committee Chair. She has won a Silver Anvil Award, a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and the PRSA Charlotte Chapter’s Infinity Award. In 2018, she was honored with the PRSA Chair’s Award for Exceptional Service to the Society. She has also been the recipient of Leadership North Carolina’s Stanley Frank Award and Mecklenburg Times’ 50 Most Influential Women.
An active community member, Graham serves as immediate past chair/nominating chair of the American Lung Association of North Carolina, chair-elect of Dress for Success Charlotte’s Board of Directors, and secretary of The Charlotte Center for the Humanities & Civic Imagination. She is a graduate of Leadership North Carolina Class XXI, Leadership Charlotte Class XIX, and an active member of Women Executives.
Graham holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media. She and her husband have a son and live in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
