Chris Bonelli
Chris Bonelli is a communications coordinator at General Motors in Detroit, MI. His latest assignment supports the Chevrolet brand telling stories about its efficient sedans, family-hauling crossovers, amazing electric vehicles and even mighty performance cars. In previous roles at GM, he worked for the global advanced technology and manufacturing communications teams. In advanced tech, he shaped the future of GM’s global battery engineering, as well as various autonomous and electric vehicles initiatives. As plant communications manager, he engaged employees and the community around GM’s manufacturing efforts, like investing $200 million to support GM’s groundbreaking all-electric vehicle, the Chevrolet Bolt EV.
Chris is an active PRSA New Professional and a proud Champion for PRSSA. He serves on the PRSA Professional Development Committee and the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations’ Emerging Leaders Committee. Chris graduated with honors from Virginia Tech in 2014 with a bachelor’s in communication. While at school, he served as the 2013-2014 PRSSA National vice president of Chapter development and earned his Certificate in Principles of Public Relations from the National Accreditation Board.
